Pictures from Garden. Pool, and Landscaping Books: Can You Help?

I was looking at books and Barnes and Noble and there were a few pictures I liked but that was the only thing I liked in the whole book. So I was hoping you guys could help me out by either scanning the pictures from your books and emailing them to me or by giving me link to a website where they are.

The books are:
Sunset Pool and Spa: Page 150 gray and white house
Sunset Big Book of Garden Design: Page 106 - 107 A Family Garden
Pool Scaping: Page 171 Spa with waterfall
Page 137 Water slide
I tried that first and my library is very out of date with very little available on this topic, but thank you for the suggestion.

How about trying the library first...

EDIT: You can also see if they can get the book from another library, they can check who has it and get it for you. FYI
Don't need the thumbs down people, just trying to help. :)

Landscape Swimming Pool Design Plan 3D Renderings in NJ NY

An example of several landscape amp; pool design concepts/studies for a client in New York. Serving New York amp; New Jersey 845-987-1270 www ...

If you could design a building of any type for someone, what would it be and why?

Please state who for too : )

I would design a beautiful big house for my family in the future in the country somewhere, where I would spend the rest of my days with the one I loved...and my parents too - I want to look after them during old age. Hahaha!! ; )

We would have a pool, a master bedroom, 4 ensuite bedrooms, a lounge with a piano, a wine seller and a wonderful garden where the kids can play. And not forgetting, a gorgeous walk-in wardrobe and shoe-rack for the beautiful wife - because she will need it. Hahaha!!

Have a good evening, I'll look forward to your answers!!! All the best : )

Oooooooooooo shoes!!!! and I would like 10 bed rooms for my baby's too! a study plz, and a garage too, a gym, and a pole too............but giving the right amount of love and respect I'd settle for a tent and 8 stella!

Have a choice to have your own home designed and build, what style would you choose?

Whould you like a classic straight lined home painted white with glass and silver;

Mexican style with a large fireplace and lots of oragne colours;

Double story house (mansion) with an indoor swimming pool and garden;

Garden Cottage with a nice vegatable garden and a fish pond?

Come on let us dream for dream can become true.

Enjoy the week-end
<smile> take care, Suzanne

I once drafted the "home of the future" for a science fair. Unfortunately, I was too young, it was not my field of interest at the time, and I got a B. However, I long to revisit the idea, and one day, build (have built?) and live in that house.

Since all the things mentioned, and so many more, appeal to me in some way, I'm inclined to think I would like a large property with an eclectic landscape. The home should probably then take place around that. The colors, materials for the climate, etc. - all would be a function of location.

The building itself would take a lot of thought. I would like the amenities of the "futuristic" home, but really long to live in a stone castle. So, I combine the two concepts, throw in a splash of Japanese gardening, a Greek pillar or two - and viola.

What would be your fantasy home?

Let's assume you have a lot of money and can design your very own house ... what would your dream house look like?

How many rooms would it have?
What kind of rooms would it have?
Would it have an indoor and/or outdoor pool?
How big would the garden be?
Would you have maids? a butler? chefs? a gardener?

Anything else you wanna add? :)
Since someone asked, I'll tell you guys what my fantasy home would be:

I would have 22 rooms

- Ballroom
- 3 Bathrooms
- 6 Bedrooms
- Dining Room
- Games Room
- Gym
- Kitchen
- Laundry Room
- Library
- Living Room
- Movie Theatre
- Nursery
- Office
- Play Room for Kids
- Pool Room w/ Jacuzzi

I would have an indoor pool and outdoor pool (indoor w/ jacuzzi and outdoor w/ hot tub)

Garden would be huge! Hedges and flowers, maybe a vegetable patch, ooh and a big fountain in the middle! I'd also have an area with tables, so that I could have tea parties out there!

I would have a maid come in once a week (more if I'm having a party), a live in butler, a live in chef, and a gardner that comes in once a week!

1. It would have about 16 rooms i would say.
2. 6 bedrooms
+ 4 bathrooms
+ A formal Dinning room
+ A large open kichen
+ A living room
+ A music / sitting room - library
+ A game room
+ A bowling ally :D
3. It would have an outdoor pool and hot tub.
4. The garden would be not very big, maybe partway around the pool.
5. I would have a chef, a butler, and a gardener.
6. It would be built in Europe, probably in france or germany. (by hills)
7. Victorian Style.

:D i loved this question! you should have more like this.

IF i don`t get this project right i fail for the year?

You are to design and draw the landscape for the backyard of your new home. Also, you are to calculate the cost of sodding the backyard. Consider the following in your design and calculations:

1. Your backyard is rectangular with dimensions 60ft by 40ft.

2. There will be an in-ground pool, also rectangular in shape, with dimensions 20feet by 12 feet. You may place this pool anywhere in the yard, but local laws requires that it is at least 3 feet from the edge of the yard.

3. Also there is going to be a circular flower garden. This garden will be 6 feet in radius. Again, you may place this garden anywhere in the yard.

4. The sod should cover all of the yard except,of course the garden and pool areas. The sod costs $9.25 per square foot, and is only sold by the square foot(no fractional part of a square foot). You may need to round up to the nearest foot.

5. The wooden fence you plan to buy should stand around the perimeter of your yard and costs $30 per foot.

Just help me or explain it
I only could use one piece of computer paper

here are some calculations to help you finalize your project:

The entire yard's area is 60x40 = 2400 ft²

The circular flower garden has area 36π ft²

The pool is 20 by 12 feet, which has an area of 240 ft².

Therefore, you need to put sod on the entire yard less the areas of the pool and garden:

2400 - 36π - 240 = 2046.9 ft²
So you need to buy 2047 ft² of sod = 2047 * 9.25 = $18,934.75

The perimeter of the 60x40 foot yard is 200 ft. So you will spend 200 ft.* $30 / foot = $6,000 on the wooden fence.
