I have a good amount of stock images since I am an amateur photographer and had heard of websites where you can sell your photos. Which one is they best and is it even worth it? I do mostly landscapes, architecture, and wildlife. Any advice??
shutterstock, istockphoto, and many others. Just google "microstock photography".
Keep in mind that your images will need to be flawless to get accepted. The microstock world has been around long enough that it's flooded with images. It's VERY hard to get your stuff in. That being said, if you do manage to produce some excellent images you can make decent money. With a little bit of work you can hope to make $500 a month. It's not enough to live on but it will buy you a new lens every month or two.

A safari park is a zoo-like commercial tourist attraction where visitors can drive in their own vehicles and observe the wildlife, rather than viewing animals in cages or small enclosures.
A safari park is a large area with enclosed areas (sometimes called paddocks). The enclosed areas may be separated by fences, ditches moats or walls. Each enclosed area will have a building for the animals that are kept in that enclosure. So if the safari park has elephants you will need an enclosure with an elephant house.
Sometimes the vegeterian animals (plant eaters) are kept in one large enclosure and the carnivores (meat eaters) will be kept in their own enclosures.
The landscape should be designed so that the animals can be seen from the viewing roads and the buildings and artificial hardscape are hidden behind trees and shrubs. All enclosures need ample water for the animals - so drainage is very important. Plants used should be planted with plants native to the animals country of origin (if the weather permits). Think of nature photographs and try and set up places where the animals can be photograped with a backdrop of trees and shrubs. Avoid plants that can poison animals. In elephant enclosures trees need to be protected from the animals.
Your road layout should meander so that people can see all parts of the enclosures. Where people can drive through between enclosures you will need cattle grids or gates to prevent animals escaping.
A plaza is normally a square surrounded by buildings. Some of the activities in a plaza are:
Eating places put chairs and umbrellas out for their customers so they sit on the plaza and eat.
Writing postcards
looking at fountains and fishponds
Kiosks selling souveneirs
A bandstand with regular music performances
Street artists such as mimes performing
This is my own personal website and it is just showing galleries of photographs that I have taken over the years. If there is any response, I'd like to try and sell some of my work someday. Mostly I shoot nature, landscapes, and architecture. Any ideas for a catchy name?
Forget about catchy. Use your name (with middle initials if necessary). That way, people repeat and spell out your name many times before they even check out the site. It will help them remember your name and if they like your ideas, make it quite easy to find your photography.
Don't add "photography" or anything like that. For one, it limits you in the event you want to change your business or something and it is way too long. People do not like long domain names.
I am thinking about selling my photographs and would like to create a website. I take pictures of musicians and landscape/architecture in Louisiana. I have some really great shots and i have always taken the pics for myself. Lately i have been thinking about trying to sell my photographs. Any advice on how to start this new business venture?
A. Yes, I sell photos all the time! Quick money!
B. As for the business liscence, if you're selling at like a neighborhood stand, or ebay, or the flea market, or something, you won't need one. But if you plan to open like a big shop, you do.
C. As for tips, I think that you should offer framed photographs, printed on canvas, matte, or other special papers. These sell for ALOT more than just your old glossy Epson papers
D. Location is key. A stall is better placed next to a shopping mall or tourist attraction, then a condo (trust me, I've tried....)
Hope this helps! :)

Strategies for Signs at Historic Sites « National Trust Historic ...
I have a confession to make: it’s nearly impossible for me to visit an historic site without looking at signs. I mean, I really examine them. Like a botanist in the woods, I mentally catalog the materials, locations, typefaces, and colors and quickly classify them by type (e.g., identification, directional, interpretive). I often catch stares from others as I photograph them but by now have collected hundreds of images of signs at museums, historic sites (and other places) around the world to collect ideas and help me figure out what makes a sign a success or failure.
Designing a good sign is much more difficult that it seems. There are far more examples of bad and ugly signs than good ones. Successful signs can only be developed as part of a larger wayfinding and interpretation plan. Each individual sign is like a note in a melody, so you need to consider the text or an arrow. Not just the ones on your site, but also the ones off site that direct people to you. I bet there will be more signs than you remember. On a spreadsheet or chart, record the content, direction of arrows (if any), colors, typeface, materials, and condition. Take photographs of every one, even if they say the same thing. Mark them on a map or site plan. Did you remember to include the restroom sign? The handicapped parking sign?
