I am looking for a way to help see my landscaping and gardening come together before I start planting and landscaping. Any ideas of websites or tools that let you put in a design of your house and fencing and start from there?
There are many, many pieces of design software on the market today. From professional versoins costing thousands of dollars to free versions. So I think the best thing to do is give you a couple of links and chech out the free software from google.

Ok, so where I work, the building is an old school house, and my boss owns the building, and I was trying to come up with suggestions for this problem...
There were originally four sets of large cement stairs, a set at either end and two close together in the middle, at one point the building was turned into a church and they closed off one of the doors in the middle section, as it wasnt necessary, bricked up pretty well, you wouldnt know there was a door there, except for the stairs remain outside and to remove them would sort of unbalance the symmetry that it has... in keeping with the school house theme/restoration what is something large maybe somehow utilizing the stairs if possible or if not thats fine, that could balance out the exterior? anything that an old school house might have had?
there is a bell tower on the building she is restoring so a bell suggestion wont work
The doors are seperate from each other, each has its own set of stairs, I would say maybe 5 ft between the two doors/sets of stairs

kinda like that
In my mind I can envision a large planter and trellis over the bricked up door. Then pots, pots and more pots of every size and shape imaginable. Some with plants of vertical interest and some with vines cascading up over and down the steps. RScott
You could try Better Homes and Gardens Magazine -http://www.bhg.com/
Good luck!
In graphic design weve been using a program called bryce and for a project we have to make four images, one of each of the four seasons. And the images cant just be of a landscape. Any ideas?
How about something along the lines of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons... with nymphs and shepherds representing each season. Im sure you could get some great ideas with a search on that ...great visual ideas on wiki for it.
Also ... what if you picked one plant or flower and did graphic representations of it through its life stages... like its seedling beginning in spring ... as it grew produced or bloomed and then faded and went bare or died in winter?:)
Well, depending on what you want to do with your yard-scape, there are plenty of sites out there. However, I tend to favor my own: http://www.serenityhealth.com. We've got a pretty large selection of fountains and water features, anyone of which can dramatically change the appearance of a garden or yard. Given the sheer variety of photos, you're sure to get some ideas.
DIY tips for creating a beautiful patio and yard in less time

(ARA) – Summer is the season for DIYers to complete outdoor home improvement projects, but even the most enthusiastic homeowner wants to make the best use of time so he or she can still enjoy the beautiful summer days.
Here are some common patio and landscaping projects and time-saving tips for completing them more easily, with better results:
* Fast-setting concrete fixes fencing in a snap. Are you putting in a fence? Fixing one that just doesn’t look as good as it used to? You don’t need special equipment to get the job done right. Start by digging a new hole for the post. If one already exists, remove the loose post and clean out the existing hole.
For easy results that last, use a fast-setting concrete mix. Simply pour the dry mix directly into the hole and add water. This activates the cement and the mix will set in approximately 30 minutes. Remember to make sure posts are straight before concrete hardens. You can use this process for other outdoor projects like adding light fixtures or a mail box.

Gardening though being a hobby and can be cultivated in part time needs proper planning and hard work. While executing the landscaping ideas it is much better to put these ideas on paper first. It's ok if you are not a professional landscape architect. What is needed is only a graphical representation of the outcome you are looking for. You can make use of the various photos from magazines, hand drawn sketches to give the landscaping contractor just an idea about what you are up to. 5)Finally keep your eyes open to new things around you. Whenever you visit your friends, relatives, shopping malls, public parks, there are hundreds of places where you can easily get inspiration. If you don't live in a busy city then it is already easier for you, because the natural environment is the greatest source of inspiration.
