What is the best landscape design software?

I am a landscape designer, but I do hand drawn plans only. I am looking to invest in software. I work for a small but busy landscape company and I just don't have the time to do it all by hand anymore.

Dynascape looks the most professional, and with Dynascape Color you can colorize a design very beautifully in a very few minutes. It is more costly than the rest, but you get what you pay for.

what is the best computer software or program for landscape design?

im starting a company and i will be designing people landscapes around their homes, just wanted to know if there is any other computer software that would help me better then the one i already have

I used Better Homes and Gardens Landscaping and Deck Designer and thought it was a great program. It actually had a lot more stuff than I really needed but I still use it to look up different types of plants every time I get the urge to plant something new.

It's pretty easy to use.

Which software is best to use for for a small landscaping company.?

software for maintaining customer details, basic accounting, invoicing, billing for a small landscaping company

Personally, I like to use Microsoft Excel, because it's off the shelf generic software, but look in any professional gardening or landscaping magazine and you will find all kinds of companies selling their own proprietary programs. The problem is, they are way too expensive and they nickle and dime you to death with their upgrades. Give Excel a try.

Interior/landscape design software on the net and download?

What are some good interior and landscape design software for download for free websites? They don't have to be for download, on the website is okay too. I know www.scenecaster.com
I remember one from school in design and technology, there was a website of a paint company that allowed you do design a room on the internet for free, i can't remember what it was.

I went to sourceforge.net (a hosting site for free software and projects.) For interior design they have these:

http://sourceforge.net/search/?type_of_s earch=soft&type_of_search=soft&w ords=interior+design

And for landscape / garden design these:

http://sourceforge.net/search/?type_of_s earch=soft&type_of_search=soft&w ords=landscape+design

http://sourceforge.net/search/?type_of_s earch=soft&type_of_search=soft&w ords=garden+design

Accounting Software for small landscaping business?

Other than Quickbooks, what is a good software program for a small business? Our company provides landscaping services for residential/commercial maintenance and landscaping construction.

Thanks

I'd maintain that Quickbooks is the best. But there's also Peachtree and a newish program called MYOB (Mind Your Own Business) that seems to be growing in popularity.

No...No Forests? - Gearbox Software Community

I just saw an E3 Presentation where Randy was talking about the different weapon manufacturers and the guy pulled put a revolver, which Randy explained to be a pistol made by Jacobs. The weapon was made with a wood stock, and Randy said that wood weapons are rare because there is no wood on Pandora so it has to be imported. Does this mean no forest? I say keep the level 50 cap, but instead of just giving us useless exp for when we are done, the extra exp turns into garden gnomes. That way we could make a massive army for our front lawns in game, and when we sit on the porch it open up a mini game of 'GET OF MA LAWN!' The object of the game it to keep the oncoming baddies off your lawn before they destroy all of your gnomes. Make like 100 rounds starting with something like skagg pups and going further.

Canonical Landscape for Ubuntu Could Soon Appeal to VARs | The VAR Guy

Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu Linux, is considering a new version of its Landscape remote management tool that may appeal to solutions providers and service providers. Here’s the scoop from The VAR Guy.

First, a little background: Landscape is a remote management tool designed specifically for Ubuntu Linux servers, desktops and notebooks/netbooks. Initially, Landscape was a SaaS (software as a service) offering. In September 2009, Canonical plans to diversify beyond SaaS to offer an on-premise version ( called Landscape Dedicated Server ) for IT managers to run within their organizations.

But Canonical won’t stop there. Sources say Canonical is taking a close look at the service provider market to see how various partners (ISPs, MSPs, VARs, etc.) could potentially benefit and generate recurring revenue from Landscape. The VAR Guy believes a service provider-centric version of Landscape will likely debut in 2010.

The Bigger Picture

Admittedly, Landscape is only one piece in Canonical’s larger strategic business puzzle. As the company prepares to launch Ubuntu 9.10 in October 2009 , Canonical is working on a range of related services and relationships — including cloud, OEM and shared storage initiatives (such as Ubuntu One ).
