Landscaping software to design about six acres?
spl31

Our geometry project is to design a six-acre park, and we are looking for either landscaping software that will allow us to design such a huge area of land or "virtual graph paper" that will reach into the 200 unit range. We would prefer the software to be free. Thanks!

Virtual home construction software, like the Sims 2?
spl36

For a long time I was an avid The Sims 2 player. I found that over time my interest was no longer in my characters but instead, in building the houses and landscapes. I want to buy some software used for building homes, but I don't know what to look for, I want something user friendly and at a reasonable price but I don't even know where to begin to look. Could you please give me some advice?

Thank You.

I think I saw a game called contractor for 19.99 at walmart.

Using Landscape Design Software

One option for would-be landscapers is to plan out their design on landscape software. Most of the time this software has great features that can help you decide where to put different plants, and how different features would look in a yard. The great thing about landscape design software is that you pay for it once, and then you can use it over and over again. While it cannot completely take the place of a landscape architect, it does allow the improver to get a good idea of what is possible.

Most software programs meant to help you design landscapes come with graphics that look like a variety of plants. These images often include flowers, shrubs, trees, and even vegetables. Additionally, some programs also include information on common garden pests as well as how different plant diseases look. Tips on how to prevent diseases, and sometimes even how to treat them often accompany this information about garden blights. This can save you time and money as you more effectively take care of your own garden needs.

No...No Forests? - Gearbox Software Community

I just saw an E3 Presentation where Randy was talking about the different weapon manufacturers and the guy pulled put a revolver, which Randy explained to be a pistol made by Jacobs. The weapon was made with a wood stock, and Randy said that wood weapons are rare because there is no wood on Pandora so it has to be imported. Does this mean no forest? I say keep the level 50 cap, but instead of just giving us useless exp for when we are done, the extra exp turns into garden gnomes. That way we could make a massive army for our front lawns in game, and when we sit on the porch it open up a mini game of 'GET OF MA LAWN!' The object of the game it to keep the oncoming baddies off your lawn before they destroy all of your gnomes. Make like 100 rounds starting with something like skagg pups and going further.
