I just bought some outdoor solar lights I put them outside around 5:45pm and now it's dark outside and they are not lighting up. Do they need more sunlight? I don't understand why they aren't working
nevermind i got them working. I had to pull the top off and turn the switch on thanks though

you need to pull the little piece of plastic out between the battery and terminal

the lights were washed away, but we found most. Only 4 are working. what do I need to check first in order to get them working again, probably by process of elimination.

Once they are dried out and are not working they probably will not work again.

in my experience they are very dim. We've tried 3 or 4 different styles and they are all really really weak. They work alright for lighting a path or something a little, but if you're trying to use them as the main lighting source, it might not be enough. Granted the last time we tried them was probably 4 years ago, and maybe they've gotten better since then, but the ones we tried were disappointing

I've had mine out for 2 yrs. and now they won't recharge
I've cleaned the tops and they still don't light.

It's probably just the batteries. They usually use nicads but you can try a high number nimh battery. I found that after a year, mine burn brighter and longer with the new batteries.

Yes I recently bought some solar lights at Walmart for $2.93 but they are not very bright. I dont know if it is because they are not very expensive. I put them in direct sun for most of the day too.Please help

Usually they only have one LED bulb in them, one LED bulb is not going to give off much light, and it depends on the reflector inside as well, more LEDs more light, and also there are different LEDs that give off different strengths of light.
